State cultural institution “Palace of Culture of the Region” today is one of the most famous cultural centers of the Mogilev region – the eastern region of Belarus. The building of the institution was built in 1977, architects –Y.Smolgovsky, O.Ladygina, V.Astapovich.
After major repairs and modernization in 2018, the institution has become the main stage in the Mogilev region and a multifunctional cultural center with convenient transport links. It regularly hosts: public, socially significant and cultural and educational events, international, republican festivals and competitions, concerts, performances, exhibitions, seminars, master classes, business meetings, official receptions, conferences, presentations and other events focused on a wide audience.
Since 2011, the Palace of Culture of the Region is the first branch of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus.
The institution has a concert hall for 980 seats, a chamber hall for 174 seats, a dance hall with modern lighting and sound equipment, a video display system for holding cultural events at a high artistic level. For presentations and exhibitions, the institution has a large foyer and an exhibition hall.
In the Palace of Culture of the region there is a cafe “Palace”, there are banquet halls too. The purpose of the premises, depending on the range of services provided, can be transformed for any event. Events can take place simultaneously in several halls. The adjacent territory, where the LED screen operates and the open stage is located, allows to hold arena events of various formats – folk festivals and fairs, solemn and entertainment events.
These conditions, professionalism and experience of creative technical specialists of the institution provide ample opportunities for the implementation of multi-format cultural and social projects.
Every year many famous people from Belarus and other countries perform on the stage of the institution. Tens of thousands of people visit the Palace of Culture of the Region, get the opportunity to engage in creativity and organize leisure, join the high art, see professional teams and performers, the best amateur art groups.
